Midwest Weavers Conference 2025 - hosted by St. Louis

  • The Midwest Weavers Conference is generally held every two years in June, in odd-numbered years. In 2025, the Weavers’ Guild of St. Louis will be hosting it.

The theme for the conference is "Making History". The St. Louis Guild, the second oldest guild in the USA, is celebrating 100 years as an organization in 2025.

  • In keeping with the history of the guild, which was started by students in weaving classes at the School of Fine Arts at Washington University in the 1920's, the Conference will be held on the beautiful Danforth campus of Washington University, just west of Forest Park.

The majority of our activities on campus are expected to take place in the various buildings located on the west side of campus. Click here for Washington University's official map of the location.

  • People will start arriving on Sunday, June 8, 2025. Pre-Conference workshops will be offered Monday through Wednesday.

The Conference Workshops of 1 or 2 days will be held on Friday and Saturday, the 13th & 14th of June. Conference Seminars, of a half-day in length, will also be available on Friday and Saturday.

Sunday will be when everyone leaves the campus.

  • Seminars and Workshops on various fiber arts, of course. Plenty of Vendors for shopping needs. Stay on campus in a Dorm room for a low cost. Parking on campus ($10 a day fee.) A Food Court with plenty of options just next to the classrooms. And plenty of friends, old and new, to play with!

There will be local and national exhibitions in the area. There will be current and retrospective exhibits from the St. Louis Guild. We are partnering with the St. Louis Art Museum and the Missouri History Museum to offer events and exhibits.

    More details to come!

  • It is very likely that registration for the Conference will begin on or around February 1, 2025. (That’s the earliest Wash U expects to be able to open up their housing registration portion.) It's expected that the end date for registrations will be April 1, 2025 (just in time for that tax refund to be used!)

Dates are still being finalized, so consider checking in early January for the official opening of registration.
