2025-2026 Meetings and Programs

Meetings for the 2024-2025 program year will be held on the third Saturday of each month, August through May at the Brentwood Community Center, 2505 S. Brentwood Blvd.

 

All programs will be conducted in hybrid format with the option to attend in-person OR via Zoom.

Business Meeting:    10:00 am

Program:                    10:30 am (approximately)

WGSL E-blasts with meeting reminder and Zoom log-in information will be sent to our members before each guild program.

Guild Programs and Workshops 2025-2026

Aug 16 - Show and Tell, Guild Challenge announced, pre-jury session for Guild Sale

September 20 - Judith Olson: Embellished wearable knitwear. Mini-workshop: (3-4 hours) focused on garments and surface design. See the Workshops page to sign up.

October 18 - Tommye Scanlon: Marking Time with Fiber and Thread (her book)

November 15 - Barbara Shapiro: Japanese Basketry – Hexagonal Plating, including both historical usage and contemporary applications. Workshop: (2.5 days). See the Workshops page to sign up.

December 13 - Holiday Gathering. Place to be determined.

January 17, 2026 - Melissa Weaver Dunning: History of Tartan Weaving.

February 21 - Bosali Biswas, Weaving – My Journey as a Fiber Artist.

March 21 - Anniversary Event/Celebration TBD.

April 11 - Nola Heidbreder, Historic Rugs and historic rug-making techniques. Mini-workshop: (3-4 hours) learn to do traditional rug hooking.

May 16 - Guild Challenge, Dog of the Year, Pre-jury session for Guild Sale.

Under normal circumstances meetings are held at the Brentwood Community Center, 2505 S. Brentwood Boulevard, Brentwood, MO 63144

Generally, meetings begin with coffee and conversation at 9:30 am, followed by a brief business meeting and program. Members are encouraged to show off their recently completed projects during the “Show and Share” segment following the program.
